Sayings For Wedding Program

You see, I'll start with the most famous operatic piece 'hummed' in history.

La donna e mobile "Rigoletto" - G. Verdi - Christian Ibarra

This aria (2) forms part of the opera (1) "Rigoletto" , Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi .

The premiere took place on March 11, 1851 at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, with the libretto by Francesco Maria Piave, based on the play "Le Roi s'amusse" by Victor Hugo.

La donna รจ mobile is sung by the character named "Il Duca di Mantua" (The Duke of Mantua, tenor), a noble libertine, seducer and insensitive to women conquest. After having had an affair with Gilda (virgin daughter Rigoletto, the Duke's hunchbacked jester) is, as usual, forgotten and romancing Maddalena, a barmaid. That is when Duke sing this aria, showing his disdain felt about women.

Lyrics:

DUKE

Woman is fickle as a feather in the wind,

change of ideas and thoughts. His face kind

and charming

both laughter and crying,
is always tricky.

Woman is fickle as a feather in the wind, changes

ideas and thoughts. Poor

which relies on it, and gives
,
unwary heart!.
And yet nobody is completely happy

if your breast does not drink love!

Woman is fickle as a feather in the wind, changes

ideas and thoughts.
