Little Einsteins Baseball Cap

Construction of an acoustic guitar - # 3

This time we will fund the construction of the guitar. in this case I chose for the back and sides flamed maple wood (curly Maple), which brought me usa.

first thing I did was correct a song from each of the 2 tables that formed the background. These tables were originally a single block. Once we open the half mirror effect, bone that we have a similar figure in each of the faces.

once we rectified edges to glue the two halves to form the bottom.
there are many ways to perform this step. I usually use one of the traditional methods. for this use 6 studs 2 "x 2", 3 wedges long rope. the operation of this method is basically that the tacos well maintained flat pieces making sure that the same will not break. With the rope and wedges exert the necessary pressure for pressing the parts during bonding.

now we already have one piece of about 4.5 mm (approximately) we will work the thickness of the bottom.
for this use sandpaper and scraper.

once achieved the thickness (3.5 mm approx) we glue the strengthening of the medium, in this case Red Cedar (a against grain), and then bottom bars, which in this guitar I made of mahogany.

these bars give you the "pump" needed to fund because they have a specific radio and in turn are pressed with a bed that has the same radio.

below the bottom end
this was all for today.
if they have no plans yet for this Sunday I invite you to meet my group Aranda Itata.
this will be on Sunday December 28 at 20 pm. Cultural Multiespacio in "La Nave Kadmon" - Ituzaingó 632 - San Isidro (facing the square and the cathedral).

Build A Sailboat Trash

Fund Construction of an acoustic guitar - the mast # 2

This week will see the construction of the neck or neck of the guitar.
did the same mahogany (Mahogani) laminated with incense.

the photo is Jonnhy, future owner of the guitar, proving the convenience of the mast.

I left a block of mahogany, which then opened to the media. rectified once both sides assemble a laminate with a stick of incense and two plates so Guatambu achieve a particular aesthetic. although the laminate gives a very nice aesthetic detail, the main reason of it is giving us greater mast structure.
after a cut of 15 ° for the blade (head) and so finally we have the mast in the rough.

in this instance, we have both edges square, make the channel where anger later placed the tensor (soul). for this purpose used a Makita workpieces with a 4mm drill.

to the top of the head used a Guayubira cutting, remnant of the first Hawaiian guitar. also add two plates (black and white).
and gluing the top of your head ...
cue to use two blocks Mahogany 2 "of the same taco leftovers to use for the mast.
and is now carving, carving and sanding ...
Note:
This is one of the many ways to build an acoustic guitar. is very common to see that they are constructed in 2 parts: first the neck and the other the body. in this case chooses to build with the traditional English method, which is to manufacture the parts separately and go uniting all as a ROPME-heads, starting from the junction of the handle with the soundboard .
be until next week. Alex

Sinus Infections More Condition_symptoms

Building an acoustic guitar - the soundboard # 1

begin with the construction of the soundboard.
In this case the wood you use is the Red Cedar (Cedro colorado) Canadian, who brought me a friend of Spain a few years ago. As you see in the pictures is a very nice cut, with a well compressed vein.

was also very aromatic, so it was a pleasure to work because I perfume the whole workshop.

After placing the rosette, work the thickness of the soundboard, that it varies between 2 and 3 mm depending on the area. For this purpose use a feeler gauge.

The top is one of the most important parts of a musical instrument, therefore it is essential to pay close attention to the thickness measured using tools, but also by touch, striking a balance between flexibility and rigidity.

Once achieved the required thickness, go to mark the location of the harmonic spectrum by the template.

Now comes the placement of all the bars and reinforcements spruce top. One of the simplest and effective ways for the fan is made by gluing strips of cane, which pressed parts perfectly and very comfortable.

The wood used for the range is the German Spruce.

Then I carve the bars giving the desired shape.

and finally the finished cap.

Sorry for failing to put pictures of the placement of the rosette and the opening of the mouth, I just had some problems with the camera at that time.
hope you liked it, it will be up next. Alex

Silver Tiffany & Co Christmas Tree Ornament

Repairing Conversion of a fretless guitar ...

Here is an acoustic guitar with head start. apparently suffered a stroke, or could also be a design fault.

first thing I did is scrape it all remnants of old glue, leaving surfaces clean and ready for re-gluing.

complication here comes ...

to present both sides realize that I did not join in the central part leaving a gap of 1mm (approx). so apparently it was built and the hole was obscured by the gloss.

what I did is to prepare a piece of cedar, similar to that of this guitar, which supplement this gap allowing a perfect union of two surfaces.

and now with a good union as gluing and pressing.

sieguiente day you remove the press.

now is repair small cracks and sand

and now the completion

and good riddance finished work

this was all for now.
